The BEST Chicken Sandwich
Hello! How is everyone doing today? Today, I want to talk about the BEST chicken sandwich. A couple nights ago as a family activity, my mom decided that we were going to decide on the best chicken sandwich that you can get via fast food. However, we didn’t want to be biased so we did this as a blind taste test.
My mom went to six different places and bought one chicken sandwich. When she got home, she placed them all on plates, divided them into four sections, and numbered them. So, my sisters and I were out of the room while she did this. So we had no clue what sandwich was what. All we were given was a list of places that we bought sandwiches at.
After we entered the room we took our seats and began to judge the sandwiches. We also tried to guess which sandwich was which. We talked about what each one looked like and most importantly which one tasted the best. Of course we all had different opinions, so below I am going to share my personal opinions.
Chick-Fil-A
Immediately from first glance, all three of us knew that this was the Chick-Fil-A sandwich. I mean, I am on a first name basis with all the workers. The Chick-Fil-A sandwich came with just chicken and pickles. There wasn’t any sauce. The no sauce was disappointing. The chicken was of course juicy and still good, but it needed that Chick-Fil-A sauce on it. I also am a firm believer that all chicken sandwiches need to have pickles. Over all, I would eat this sandwich again and give it a 8/10. It was not my favorite sandwich though.
Jack in the Box
This was the first time that I had ever had a Jack in the Box chicken sandwich. I didn’t know right away where this one was from and the overall appearance looked quite pleasing. This sandwich had mayo and lettuce on it. Now, personally, I am a fan of mayo, but I do know quite a few people who don’t like it. The sandwich was decent. I would eat it again. It tasted good, nothing was off. The problem was that nothing really stood out to me. It was a basic chicken sandwich with no pizzazz. So it was boring. However, it is important to note that this one is the cheapest chicken sandwich of all six, ringing up at a $1.81. I would rate this experience at a 7/10. It needs a fancy sauce or something ya know?
Sonic
This had to be the second to last sandwich. Sonics chicken sandwich did not do it for any of us. The chicken was blah, and they had the audacity of adding lettuce and tomatoes. Tomatoes do not belong on a chicken sandwich. Truth be known, they weren’t suppose to add tomatoes, they just did it because the chicken was so dry. I would NEVER buy this sandwich. This is one of those you have no other options/you’re going to starve choices. This was not it. Solid 2/10.
Popeyes
Okay, so this was my second favorite chicken sandwich out of the six, and my all time favorite chicken. Out of all the sandwiches, this chicken was the juiciest, the crunchiest, the most perfect melt in your mouth chicken. It may be the key to world peace if I’m being honest. The sandwich was basic. It consisted of pickles, mayo, and chicken. I mean I love pickles, and I don’t hate mayo either. I think for me personally, the only reason this wasn’t my number one was because it needed a special sauce. Special sauces really kick up a dish. It adds pizzazz. It makes the flavors dance on your tongue. I would 100% buy this sandwich again. It gets a solid 10/10 for me. I completely understand why people were stabbing each other for this sandwich.
Cane’s
Ladies and gentlemen, this was my personal favorite sandwich. This sandwich checked all the boxes. The chicken was juicy and the breading was perfect. They had a special sauce that gave it that all around kick. The bun was good. This one hit the important boxes in all the ways that the other sandwiches just couldn’t. I would buy this again, and I already have. Actually, every time I pull into Cane’s I hit the curb, so if you ever see an orange jeep hit the canes curb, stop and say hello. This was also the most expensive sandwich ringing in at $4.45. But hey, you get what you pay for am I right? This was 10/10. A solid choice.
McDonalds
I can’t even begin to describe how disappointed we were by this sandwich. This was everyones least favorite sandwich. The whole thing was ice cold. The chicken was dry. There was way too much lettuce and mayo, and the bun was soggy. It did not look appealing, and it did not taste appealing. I would NEVER get this sandwich again. Personally, I was disappointed because McDonalds used to have a really good dollar spicy chicken sandwich, and I was hoping that it would be as good as that. However, I was deeply deceived. This was a 0/10. Please, I beg you, don’t waste your money on this one.
In conclusion, for the people that scroll all the way to end. Cane’s chicken sandwich was the best one. The whole experience though was so fun, and it honestly was the perfect family activity. I would recommend this for any family who is looking for an activity to do together.
I would also love to hear from you! What is your favorite chicken sandwich?
