Hello!! For todays post, I am going to be doing a review of OLIPOP Soda. I first heard about this brand from Fashion Blogger/Designer Rachel Parcell. I saw it on her instagram story and she talked about how much she loved it. I was interested. So I decided to do my own research on the brand and products to know if I wanted to try them out.

What I learned in my research amazed me, and convinced me. OLIPOP is actually a sparkling tonic that is packed full of good things for you. A large part of those ingredients include prebiotics. Now for those of you who don’t know, our body naturally contains good bacteria or probiotics. The good bacteria helps with your digestive health and to strengthen your immune system. This sounds good right? These bacteria, like any living thing, get hungry. So this is where the prebiotics play a part. Prebiotics are the food that the probiotics eat. So when you feed them, you help them to live longer and do their job better and more effectively.

Along with prebiotics, OLIPOP also contains natural ingredients which you can see individually on their website. Their purpose for the diverse ingredients and plant fibers is to help our digestive health! I will also include below some differences between normal soda and OLIPOP.

So after doing my research on what was in the product, I was already impressed. However, when I went to do research on the cost of the product, I was not so impressed. For a variety 12 pack, it costs $41.99. I was floored when I saw this price. If you were to order a 12 pack of a single flavor it would cost $35.99. That still sounds crazy for a 12 pack of soda.

At first, after seeing the price I decided that I was not going to get them. Then, a miracle came and my gal Rachel Parcell gave an influencer code for a discounted price. This was my sign. I had researched it, now it was more affordable, and I NEEDED to know what it tasted like. So I ordered. Also, I am sorry but I do not remember the code that I used.

It took about a week for the sodas to come to my house. It was standard shipping, and I can’t complain. They arrived in a box, very well wrapped. None of the cans were broken, though some did come with minor dents. However I was satisfied. I ordered the variety pack. This included Orange squeeze, strawberry vanilla, classic root beer, cherry vanilla, ginger lemon, and vintage cola. I was so excited to taste them!

The first flavor that I tried was cherry vanilla. It was a shock at first. It wasn’t as carbonated as I was expecting. Also, cherry vanilla low-key tasted like medicine. I didn’t love it. However, I was still hopeful for other flavors. Cherry vanilla was a 4/10 for me.

The second flavor I tried was vintage cola. This one I was more impressed with. It actually tasted like cola! My one complaint was the little carbonation. I like the bubbles. Overall vintage cola was a hit with me. 8/10.

After the vintage cola, i don’t remember the exact order I tried things in. So I will just make one up. The classic root beer was similar to the vintage cola in the fact that it blew my mind. It tasted just like root beer. I also give it 8/10.

Strawberry vanilla was a bust. It was the same with the cherry vanilla. It tasted like medicine. I the one thing in common is the vanilla, so maybe it’s the vanilla. Probably the only time vanilla has ever let me down. I am leaving a 4/10

Ginger Lemon was really really good. This one was by far my favorite. It was soft, and subtle. It did not pack a punch. It was perfect. It reminded me of ginger ale. Absolutely delicious. I give it a 9/10.

The orange squeeze was by far the worst. Let me describe this taste. Have you ever had Emergen-C? It tasted exactly like that. To a T. I was impressed that it was able to mimic the flavor, but I would not recommend… unless you like that. I’m giving it a 2/10.

Overall, OLIPOP was not my favorite thing in the world. I am really impressed with the health benefits. I absolutely LOVE that aspect. However, for the cost of the product, the taste was disappointing. I do not planning on buying them again. Even if they showed up in stores, I probably would not do it. There are cheaper ways to get these health benefits. However, now I know.

If you have ever tried OLIPOP, I would love to hear what you thought about it! Also if you plan on buying them, let me know your thoughts!
