Welcome!
Hi! Welcome to Chadd Chats. My name is Chadd Williamson. I am 20 years old and currently living in Texas. I am constantly thinking. My brain never shuts off. For most of my life I have used writing as a form of therapy for my overactive brain. It’s been wonderful. My thoughts come and I write. This allows me to release and let go, so that I am able to move onto the next thought. I’ve been able to come up with stories, poems, songs, etc.
From July 2019 - September 2020 I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Each week, I was able to write a weekly. Not only did this help me, but each week as I reviewed my weekly, I was able to watch the growth I was making and learn more about myself. Not only that, but each week someone would tell me that they got something from the words I wrote. Whether it was an epiphany, or revelation, or even a good laugh, it felt so good to give these to others. This has really inspired me in the idea to create a blog.
I’ve been tossing around the idea a while, but I decided that I needed this form of output. My goal is that with each post, you (the reader), gets something from it. Even if that means just a laugh. As I more further developed the blog idea, I had so many questions. What will I name it? What will I talk about? How often will I post? Who is going to read it?
As I pondered these questions I thought about what am I good at talking about? The answer, pretty much everything. I love to have a good conversation. That is why I decided to name the blog Chadd Chats because I’m always talking! My thoughts right now are that I am going to be posting about a lot of stuff. Product reviews, my favorites, short stories, poems, deep thoughts, and memories. My favorite thing about life is that it is always changing and evolving, and I hope that Chadd Chats does the same thing. This is a journey for me, and I’m just opening it up so that you can journey with me.
I do want to note that I am not a professional writer. In fact, I am not a professional anything. I’m not perfect and I’m still learning and growing. Please be kind and patient. If you do have suggestions or thoughts, feel free to contact me in the contact tab or via social media. I love to connect with people and learn their stories.
I hope you decide to take this journey with me as we grow together. Until next time!
With love
Chadd
