Rating My Hairstyles
A friend gave me the idea to create a post on myself rating my hair styles, et viola ! So I am going to be rating my hairstyles. I want to say that if you have an idea about a blog post you want to see and read, don’t hesitate to reach out to me with your suggestions!
The first hairstyle is my most recent hair. I dyed my hair this silver platinum blond on top. The sides are still my normal dirty blond base. I rate this hairstyle 8/10. I absolutely loved the color! It was my favorite color my hair has ever been. It was so pretty. However, I wish that I would have also dyed the sides with it. It was also so high maintenance. I had to keep toning my hair almost everyday. It changed yellow really fast. Also with the rate that my hair grows, my darker roots were showing very fast. So, although it was fun and I loved it, it was a lot of work to keep it like that. So it wasn’t perfect.
For my next hairstyle I give it a 9/10. The top of my hair is dyed blond, but here I am more looking at the style. This style is super easy. All I did was brush it all forward. It was easy to do and easy to keep it looking that way. Some of the downfalls is that it made me look very young. This was good on some days when I felt old, but I do like to look my age. Also, my hair would get in my eyes, and that I did not like. That was a pain. Also when I would walk outside and start sweating (because that’s what you do when you live in Houston) It would stick to my forehead and that was gross. So 9/10.
This hairstyle is a no from me dawg. It is 3/10. So this color as you can see is orange. Orange was never the intended color, but this is what we got. I looked like a carrot. It made my sin look more red. It didn’t suit me at all. I will never go orange again. I am only giving it a 3 because I was laughing about it at the time. It gave me a good laugh. It is a story. But never would I do it again.
This look receives a 7/10. I bleached all of my hair. Everything. I didn’t hate the look. But I didn’t love it. So I didn’t tone this one because we were still planning on taking it another color. So as you can see in the picture, it’s yellow tinted. If I were to tone it, I think that it would be a look. It made me feel like my baddest self. However, I know that this look would be extremely high maintenance. I probably would not do this again, unless I was going through a very mentally unstable time period. So, if you ever see me with bleach hair all over, please ask if I’m okay.
This style gets a 8/10. This is my natural hair color. This is also right when I got back from my mission. There is a lot to think about with this look. I give it a 8 because I do not like the length at all. I cannot stand short hair. Some people can pull it off, but I do not like it. I feel naked. I can’t do anything with it. It’s boring, it’s blah. I do not plan to keep my hair this short ever again. I also don’t love my natural color. I have always really wanted to be blond blond, but I was not blessed with that. Maybe one day I’ll come to love my natural color, but for now, I want to experiment. This look gets an 8 because overall it’s safe. Nothing really stands out. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it.
This look gets a 10/10. I LOVED my hair when I took these photos. My hair is a good length here, and I also had highlights all throughout my hair. I LOVED my highlights. They were fun, and yet they made my hair look lighter than normal and it also didn’t kill my hair. This look made me feel young. I would 100% go back to this look. I honestly probably will.
This look I give a 8/10. I know that the picture quality is not the best, but this is my natural curls. The natural frizz. If you would have asked me to write this post a year ago, this look would have gotten a much lower rating. However, as I play around more with my hair and I grow to be more confident in myself, I am learning to really love my curls. I think that honestly they’re a look. The only downside to them, is that they get frizzy. Also they have a mind of their own, and it takes a lot to tame them.
